Tushar Kapoor is the son of the famous 70s actor Jeetendra and was born on November 20 1976. His mom Shobha Kapoor and sister Ekta Kapoor run the biggest Television Production house Balaji Telefilms.
Tushar studied in Mumbai at Bombay Scottish School and went to University of Michigan to do his MBA. Once back in India, Tushar was busy handling home production and he was spotted by director Satish Kaushik, who was looking for a vulnerable and young looking actor for his movie “ Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai” and Tushar fit the bill just right. Tushar did impress the audiences in his debut movie, but did not attract many filmmakers.
Tushar after delivering a couple of flops was appreciated for his performance in “Khakee” and he did manage to pull off the solo hero movie “ Gayab” with his dramatics. Tushars next superhit movie came after a gap of four years and it was “ Kya Kool Hain Hum” in which he played a hysterical loser.
Tushar did manage to carve his niche as a funny actor and in his next comedy movie “Golmaal” he played a mute guy and made the audiences laugh just with his expressions. Tushar has finally got the recognition he deserved as an actor and is going strong in his career.
