Sridevi the south beauty is a Leo and was born on August 13 1963 in Tamil Nadu, India. Sridevi started acting at the age of 10. Her first role was in a movie “Jaise Ko Taisa”  and followed by “Julie”  in 1975.

Sridevi made her debut as an actress in “ Solvan Saal”  opposite Amol Palekar which was debacle, “ Himmatwala”  was her first hit movie. But it was her role in Hrishikesh Mukherjees “ Sadma”  that won her recognition and fame. In the early stage of her career, Sridevi had successful pairing with Jeetendra and gave six hits with him. Subash Ghai, who casted Sridevi opposite Anil Kapoor in “ Karma” , also gave Bollywood a golden pair which gave many hits like “ Mr. India” , “ Laadla” , “ Lamhe”  and “ Judai” . Sridevi was also one of the favorites of Yash Chopra, who gave her a complete makeover in “Chandini”  and made her one of the most beautiful actresses in the business. Sridevi was also offered a role in Steven Spielberg movie which she rejected.

In 1996, Sridevi shocked everyone by getting married to Boney Kapoor; the two were having a secret affair for a year and Boney also divorced his earlier wife Mona to get married to Sridevi. Sridevi has two daughters from him Jhanvi and Khushi. Sridevi took a sabbatical after marriage as she wanted to spend time raising her kids.

In 2002, she turned into a movie producer and her first movie was “ Shakti”  starring Karisma Kapoor; the movie did so-so in the box office. Her second project “ Run”  with Abhishek Bachchan and Bhumika Chawla was a disaster at the box-office. Sridevi also made a comeback on small screen with a sitcom “Malini Iyer” , the show however didn’t run long due to fall in TRP. Sridevi does plan to make a comeback in near future.
