Shahid Kapoor, the son of famous actor Pankaj Kapoor, was born on February 25th 1981 in Mumbai. His mom is the famous television actress Neelima Azmi. When Shahid was three years old, his parents got a divorce and he started living with his mom. Shahid’s dad got married to actress Supriya Pathak. While studying in NM College, Juhu, Shahid joined Shiamak Davar’s dancing school and he went on to become a part of Shiamak’s dancing troupe. Shahid also started dating actress Isha Sharvani while he was still in college. Shahid made his debut in Aryans music video called “Aankhon mein”. Shahid’s screen presence got him many movie offers and he signed Tips ‘Ishq Vishk’, which was being directed by debutante Ken Ghosh.

In 2003, Shahid’s debut movie was released and the newcomer surprised everyone with his sparkling performance. The actor proved that he had all the qualities to hit the top slot as he was a natural performer and an exceptional great dancer. His good looks drove his fans crazy and he became a new born star.

Shahid Kapoor’s second movie was again Ken Ghosh directed ‘Fida’ in which he was paired with two Superstars Kareena Kapoor and Fardeen Khan. During the making of the movie, Shahid and Kareena got attracted to each other and they started dating. It was also on the sets of ‘Fida’ that Shahid had a brawl with Fardeen and the two actors decided never to work with each other again. Shahid and Kareena’s chemistry in ‘Fida’ was appreciated and the duo signed three movies together ‘36 China Town’, ‘Chupke Chupke’ and ‘Milenge Milenge’.

After couple of flops like ‘Shikhar’, ‘Vaah Life Ho To Aisi’ and ‘Dil Maange More’, Shahid bounced back with ‘36 China Town’. Shahid’s next ‘Chupke Chupke’ was also declared a hit.

Shahid toured the world with the ‘Rockstars’ troupe with Kareena Kapoor by his side. Shahid has also acted in Sooraj Barjatiya’s ‘Vivaah’ and Firoz Nadiawala’s ‘Fool And Final’. Shahid and Kareena are dating for a long time now and are considered to be a strong bonded couple. The two are also known for supporting each other during good and bad times. Shahid shares a great bond with his step brother Ishaan and lives in the same building as his dad. Despite being so young, the actor has managed to make a place for himself in Bollywood and this chocolaty hero is maturing as an actor with every movie.
