Salman Khan is the eldest son of screen writer Salim and his wife Salma Khan. Salman was born on December 27th 1965 in Indore, India. Salman Khan has two younger brothers Arbaaz and Sohail and two younger sisters Alvira and Arpita. Helen is his step mom. Salman Khan faced the camera for the first time for a cameo in ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’, but his claim to fame was ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ which made him a heart throb of millions. Salman also won the Best Debutante Male award for the movie.  Salman Khan was then, dating model cum actress Sangeeta Bijlani, however; the two part ways as Salman Khan wanted to focus on his career. Salman Khan’s career was going steady but in 2002, Aishwarya Rai broke up with the actor which caused him a lot of grief. On September 28th 2002, Salman Khan was arrested for Vehicular homicide however; the actor was released as he was found not guilty. After lying low for a couple of months, Salman bounced back with ‘Tere Naam’ followed by ‘Baghbaan’ and ‘Mujse Shaadi Karoge’.

Salman Khan also started dating British model Katrina Kaif, who was trying her luck in Bollywood. Salman became her mentor and launched her in ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’. Salman Khan has also; acted in his International debut movie ‘Marigold’ opposite actress Ali Larter; Willard Carroll has directed the movie.
