Himmesh Reshamiya, who is one of the biggest musical success stories of Bollywood, was born on May 11th 1969. Himmesh began his media career as a TV producer, but was always inclined towards music. Salman Khan gave this music composer his first big break in his home production ‘Pyar Kiya To Darna Kaya’. The music became very popular and established Himmesh as a music director. Himmesh composed for two more Salman Khan movies, ‘Hello Brother’ and ‘Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge’ which were again big musical hits. Salman Khan’s ‘Tere Naam’ changed things for Himmesh as it became the biggest musical blockbuster of 2003. Himmesh continued composing young and peppy tracks and his next colossal hit was ‘Aashiq Banaya Apne’ that again became one of the record breakers.
Himmesh Reshamiya believes in constantly trying something new. He not only composes, but also sings. He also won the Filmfare award for the ‘Best Male Playback Singer’ in 2005. Himmesh has developed his own musical style by using a lot of pop and techno beats in his songs thus, attracting the youth however; he never believes in being stereo-typed. So in ‘Banaras’ he composed music inspired by the classical melody. Himmesh also; features in ‘TVS Saregama’ a show that has made him a household name in all Indian homes across the globe. Himmesh also; set a record in 2006 as he became the first Bollywood music director, who composed 28 hit tunes in a span of 6 months. Himmesh’s world tour also; became a big success and the proceedings surpassed the ones generated by big star concerts.
