Emraan Hashmi

Emraan was born as Emraan Anwar Hashmi on March 23rd 1979 in Mumbai to a Muslim father Anwar and a Christian mom Maherahh. After graduating from Sydhenam College in South Mumbai, Emraan took up the job of an assistant director in his uncle Mahesh Bhatt’s production house. Emraan was assisting Vikram Bhatt for ‘Kasoor’ when his uncle Mahesh asked him to audition for ‘Footpath’ for which he was selected.

Emraan’s second movie ‘Murder’ was a runaway success and he became a star. Emraan also carries the tag of the serial kisser as he has the record of kissing all his actresses in the movies. Emraan began his career as a B-grade actor, but today he has been upgraded to an A lister and charges approximately Rs. 1 crore for his movies. Emraan is engaged to his long time girlfriend Parveen Shahani and plans to get married to her in the near future.
