Asin means ‘without blemish and pure’ and the young budding actress is for sure living up to her name. Asin was born on October 26th 1980 in Cochin, Kerala in an affluent family; her dad Joseph Thottukamal is a businessman and mother Seline is a doctor.
Asin studied at the Naval Public School in Cochin and went to St. Teresa’s College to do her B.A. in English Literature. Asin started modeling while in college and became the South model for brands like ‘Fairever Cream’, ‘Spinz’ and ‘Miranda’.
Asin has done over ten movies in South India in Tamil, Telugu and Malyalam and has worked with big Superstars like Venkatesh and Nagarjuna. Asin won Filmfare awards for her performance in ‘Amma Nana O Tamila Ammai. ’
