Anusha Dandekar was born and bought up in Australia and returned to India at the age of eighteen. She started her career as a VJ on MTV for the show ‘Style Check’. Anusha made her debut in Bollywood with ‘Mumbai Matinee’; her item number in the movie ‘Loot Gaye’ won her acclaim. Anusha is know for her streaked hair, a hip-hop body lingo and an amazing accent that got her a second movie which was Mahesh Manjerkar’s ‘Virrudh’ in which she was cast opposite John Abraham. It was her dream project as she got to share the screen with Amitabh Bachchan and Sharmila Tagore. Anusha also acted in ‘Anthony Kaun Hai’ opposite Arshad Warsi. Anusha’s dream role is playing a blonde cheer leader in one of the Hollywood flicks. While Anusha continues to do short acting stints, her major focus has always been Veejaying on MTV which she enjoys the most.
