Munisha Khatwani has been seen wearing multiple hats. She is the famous tarot card reader in ‘Teen Deviyaan’ on STAR News. Munisha is also a known telly actress and is seen in ‘Raaz Ki Baat’ on DD1, ‘Sindoor Tere Naam Ka’ on Zee TV. She was also seen in the sitcom ‘Yes Boss’ on SAB TV.

We chatted with Munisha in an exclusive interview as she shared about her current projects and her future plans.

You quit ‘Vaidehi’ which gave you so much fame and success; what happened?

‘Vaidehi’ was a very good break for me on Sony and it was a good role as well then, the story line changed,.from a weekly to a daily-basis the concept changed and I couldn’t do justice at all. I would either do a negative role where people can turn around and say as you are a part of the show. When I felt ‘Vaidehi’ couldn’t do that I opted out. It is a mutual decision. No bitter feelings.

Would you like to share your experience working with the Big Bollywood names like Rajesh Khanna in ‘Apne Paraya’, Hema Malini in ‘Kamini Damini’, Shabana Azmi in ‘Anupama’ on B4U?

It was just Fantastic!!.....In Apne Paraye, I was playing Rajesh Khanna’s daughter in fact, he felt that I had a resemblance to Rinkie and so my name was Rinka in the show and even with Hema Malini, she’s a wonderful lady, I was playing the role of an adopted daughter. I was the maid at the house but, she used to treat me like her daughter. It was a pleasure working with Shabana playing as her daughter-in-law. I worked with such huge stars and I sometime wonder that I am lucky actually they teach so much about the camera angle, dialogue delivery, make-up, hair, et all I feel I have learnt so much at such a young age.

What was one thing special about each of them?

I remember Shabana is particular about everything, her hair, nails and she is totally in the character. Rajesh is very chilled out. Hemaji is very spontaneous and great, there’s no need to rehearse at all.

Which was your first serial?

‘Just Mohabbat’ in which I played Nisha opposite Jai, which was a huge hit Jai. I had done a lot of ad commercials and they were looking for a NRI girl, I.did’nt know Hindi at that point as I was from Jakarta, Indonesia. As the character was not expected to speak much Hindi, they told me to play the character as it suited my personality.

You quit ‘Yes Boss’?

Its absolutely true. It was nobody’s fault. The character which was narrated to me didn’t turn out that way. After two schedules, I realized that I would leave gracefully rather than being in something where I am not happy. I regret not being in a comedy show but, character matters. I believe in quality work.

You have danced with Shamak Davar?
Shamak Davar and Farah Khan, many people know it that I love dancing as it’s my first love. I don’t plan to be a dancer but, if it’s something to do with a reality show I will be the first person to jump on the opportunity.

Where do you see your life partner at present?
(Blushes) I am completely single at present and ready to mingle. I am waiting for the right person (Laughs). On a serious note, according to my predictions starting June 2007 to October 2008 I would meet my right guy. I will tie the knot in the next three years.

Do you mean predictions are 100 % correct?
Nobody is 100 % right, you can change a lot with prayers whatever I think I say is 70% accurate and 30% I can go wrong. No astrologer is 100% correct. The science is not wrong but, the scientist can be wrong when predicting.

From being an actress to also being a tarot card reader, you don’t see it often?
Tarot cards interested me 5 years back. I was going through a crisis, my professional life, me personal life and my Godfather’s health was messed up. I couldn’t find a way and tarot slowly showed me the way. I became addicted to it and later a hobby turned into a passion and now a profession.

Do casting couch still exists?
They definitely exist. Lot more in films nobody has approached me besides, I have not heard and seen in TV circuit. I will just freeze and would not know how to react. In my case I have never experienced so I would know much.

When is your Birthday and how do you celebrate it?

September 18th and I celebrate it with all my TV friends.

Last time you went on a holiday.
Lat year, Singapore. This year I am going to Australia, Singapore and Indonesia.

Last time you lost your senses.
Couple of weeks ago; had lot of fun.

Last time you gave a big treat to your friends.
My birthday costed me so much money. I almost died when I saw the bill. There were more than 200 people for my birthday.
